This cute Restaurant got its rating of 4.2 for Thai Restaurants in Franklin Square NY ( 959 Hempstead Turnpike, Franklin Square, NY 11010.)
Frankly Thai Greets you with a Hostess/Host and lovely cultural seating area.
Be sure to make reservations ahead of time. This place is rather popular and you could be waiting for 30min-1hour.
Dare I say the wait time was worth the 30minutes.
The first thing I noticed was the artwork and vibe.
This is the perfect place to have a date or an intimate family gathering.
It is a rather quiet place. I wouldn’t say it is suitable for children just to keep the peace. If they are well behaved that is perfect.
Once Seated, I noticed they had a bar and almost every table had a bottle of wine. So, out of curiosity I asked for the prices of the wine considering I thought that might be a must try since most people were drinking it.
Just as you read, this is a BYOB – ( Bring Your Own Booze ) Restaurant. My first!
They didn’t sell any wine. People just preferred wine with their meal and brought it to share with friends. I am definitely bringing my own next time!
The Food –
I had ordered the Pad Garlic with my choice – Squid.
It was packed with flavor and very yummy. It may not look like tons of food in the picture but it was so filling I had to bring some home, not because I was too full but because the desserts everyone was eating afterwards looked like I had to try something!
Take a look at the – Menu
I am very satisfied with my decision on making room for dessert. I had to end my night with some green tea ice cream.
A great day and a great discovery.
- Before you decide to buy more food because of the size, buy one thing, eat it and see how you feel afterwards. From my experience the food was very filling and others said the same and ending the night with dessert is always a plus.
- Take advantage of the BYOB. Not that many people allow that to fly.
- Bring at least $25-$30 with you.
- Don’t get wasted lol
